The priests of the universe like to eat microwave popcorn.
The paintings of Stephanie Homa invite the viewer to a playground from the future - to witness the formation of new mythologies... or at least something that seems magical.
As a collector of the everything, Homa enjoys playing with the pre-existing - the influences and sources of imagery she uses in her work lie in various cultures and backgrounds, but mainly in traditional oil painting, folk art as well as images borrowed from religion, cults or popular culture.
In her current practice Homa mainly works with acrylic, vinyl and spray paint on canvas.
