2022 Graduating Artists Page Now Live

From On Tour to On Display

Curated here is the latest work on display at the gallery: the art we've just discovered at the 2022 graduate shows - just beginning to land. alongside new work by our resident artists.

These are the artists we've recently met, whose tutors we've often spoken with, and who are now available to collect – fresh out of 3 years of rigorous training. These are the brilliant emerging artists on the cusp of their career; this is the place to invest in them.

You'll be able to see the art here as soon as it arrives at the gallery, and we'll add to it on a rolling basis as we visit the degree shows across the country.

Already curated are diverse talented such as Aberystwyth University graduate Ekene Okoliachu and Falmouth University graduate Elke Kizzia Diggle.

The extant atmosphere curves and billows above Ekene Okoliachu’s oil landscapes.

Ekene contrasts oil paint for marking the land and the sky. For the former paint is laid more deliberately and thickly down. For the latter the artist blurs and sweeps it ethereally, conveying the ever-shifting, un-solid air.

Elke Kizzia Diggle’s ‘Transference’ series summons the sense of retinal and corporeal imprints. Imagine these monochrome phenomena framed and placed in a more prosaic environment – the comfort of a living room or the practicality of a kitchen – and their status as atmospheric anatomies of the 21st century becomes clear.
