3 New graduates: Hesi Glowacki, Henry Glover and Teo Burki
Introducing 3 new graduate artists:
Wimbledon College of Art graduate: Henry Glover
"The ‘embrace’, is a recurring motif in my work. It encompasses many forms: hands squeezing a pillow, boxers clinching and human forms locked together. Predominantly, I use painting and sculpture to comprehend the physical experience of relationships. I am interested in the blurring of the boundary between 2D and 3D work, blending between these two forms to exist in symbiosis."
Central Saint Martins: Teo Burki:
Teo's core practice is concentrated on contemporary painting, mixing abstract expressionist and figurative modes, within the conceptual framework of / investigation of random everyday pop-up images and ephemeral visuals of digitally manipulated materials.
Central Saint Martins: Hesi Glowacki
". I’m fascinated by the alchemy and the transformation of materials. I’m using unconventional and unusual materials. All types of natural pigments (such as lapis lazuli, magnetite, carbon etc.), fabric, resin, clay, wood, plants, paper pulp and many others. Also chemicals materials (such as sulphate, silver, copper, gold), and strictly organic (such as rainwater, human hair, saliva and teardrops), imply emotive power and refer to something extraordinary, metaphysical and supernatural. The bold and often dark palette is my perception of the spirit, matter, vision of the cosmos, or the representation of the divine."
All my best,
