Everything on New Blood Art is original: unique paintings, drawings and sculpture, and fine art prints made by hand by the artist in small signed editions. The one exception is The Print Studio, a separate section of reproductions of original works.

4 Artists to Invest In Now

Notable achievements, 2026

As we head into the final months of 2026, we want to highlight four New Blood Art artists who have achieved significant career milestones recently.

Luo-Han Chen

With two international shows ahead, Luo-Han Chen is a rising star to watch. This October and November she shows at New Taipei Gallery, Taiwan, in the two-artist exhibition Unnamed Waters. In 2027, Luo-Han will have a solo exhibition at New Taipei City Art Center.

Orlanda Broom

Orlanda's star continues to rise with an impressive streak of career milestones. Her selection as an Academician Candidate at the RWA (final decision this November) and inclusion in major 2026 exhibitions, Odyssey at Hastings Contemporary, the RA Summer Exhibition, South Downs Open, and &Gallery's 'Points of Encounter', demonstrate her growing impact and reputation. 2027 will bring yet another landmark with Orlanda's solo exhibition at Petersfield Museum & Art Gallery. There is no slowing down this unstoppable artist.

Matilde Melodia

We are delighted to introduce Matilde Melodia, a nominee for this year's New Blood Art Prize. The prize has been slightly delayed, and we will be introducing every nominee over the coming weeks. Matilde is the 2026 recipient of the Andrew Grant Bequest from Edinburgh College of Art. She was also awarded the John Kinross Scholarship, funding her residency at 'il Palmerino' in Florence this November and December.

Margaret Ashman

Margaret's printmaking prowess earns her accolade after accolade. In the past 12 months alone, she has won the Print Prize at the ING Discerning Eye 2025 and the Clifford Chance Purchase Prize at RE Original Prints 2026, with Clifford Chance acquiring two of her prints, Leggiero and Largo, for their permanent collection. On top of that, Margaret's print 'Slow Dancing 4' sold out its full edition of 50 at the RA Summer Exhibition. With each year, Margaret further cements her place as a leading light in contemporary printmaking.
