Art & SPACE

Over the next couple of days there will be a new moon and a solar eclipse. The night sky and Space holds particular interest for 2 of our emerging artists - Melanie King's current research is focused on the philosophy of science, particularly in the field of astronomy.

David OM's art often interacts with space science and astronomy whilst incorporating a metaphysical subtext that enables subject matter to assume new (often existential) symbolic meanings. He says: "Essentially I am drawn to the power of vastness and the context of the wider picture; the compelling journey from that which is constricted within to the cusp of the infinite.".

See a range of work below with a focus on the night sky and the subject of Space.
