Christmas Wishlist: Chosen By Artists
What Artists Like: Christmas Wishlist
With gifting season upon us, we’ve been asking our artists which pieces they’d most like to receive.
Some real gems have been uncovered. It’s really interesting to see the works artists choose and the sometimes unlikely combinations they select. It can a fascinating way to look at and experience work and inspire your choice of groupings.
Today’s Christmas Wishlist is from Masters Artist Tyler Watson.
Tyler was selected by Paul Smith for his exhibition British Art. He has also been commissioned by Liberty of London.
Keep posted for more over the coming fortnight.
Christmas Wishlist

Lambent by Keren Luchtenstein. 110 x 90 cm. Oil on canvas.
"If I were to pick one word to describe what I love in art as a whole, it would be 'playful'. Lambent exudes playfulness, the type of painting that can change a mood and make me smile. And I'm a sucker for the colour pink." - Tyler Watson

Tight-Knit by Eleanor Dunning. 40 x 50 cm. Mixed media on canvas.
“This painting really struck me as a beautiful example of colour and pattern composed so well; that it takes me a second to really appriciate the figurative image being depicted. Both elements within the composition feel thoughtful and as important as one another. Mundane objects being shown importance.” – Tyler Watson

House By The Sea by Niki Duffy. 45 x 60 cm. Oil on canvas.
“House by the Sea really gives me a sense of nostalgia. Memories of visiting my mums place down on the coast really get brought to the surface. The street lamp taking the suns place in the setting sky line feels warming and playful.” – Tyler Watson
