Emerging Art Prize Nominees: Part 4
The Emerging Art Prize 2024:
Introducing 10 of our nominees
We’re back to say hello to more nominees for The Emerging Art Prize 2024. This is our fourth newsletter (with one more to go) that introduces these exciting emerging artists. Each of them hand-picked in collaboration with tutors from art institutions across the UK: from Aberystwyth to Edinburgh.
The Emerging Art Prize aims to discover, platform and celebrate the next generation of contemporary British artists. Investing in artists at the start of their careers not only supports their creative journey but also offers the chance to own original works before they achieve broader recognition—when prices are still accessible and the potential for growth is significant.
Today, we are excited to share the work of ten Emerging Art Prize nominees: painter Holly Hinchliffe, sculptor Justine Watt, multidisciplinary artist Saad Hussain, sculptor and collagist Elizabeth Helder, installation artist Chongshan Feng, printmaker Sean Pearl, installation artist Margaux Welch, artist and creative director Marie Jatta (XD), painter Zoe Maxwell and digital artist Jessica Tipper.
We have nearly 50 artists in total who have been nominated for The Emerging Art Prize. You can see a curated selection of their work below.
