Emerging Art Prize Nominees: Part 5
The Emerging Art Prize 2024:
Introducing our final nominees
We’re back with the last in our series of introductions to the nominees for The Emerging Art Prize 2024. This year, we have fifty-one artists in total, each hand-selected in collaboration with arts institutions from across the UK.
The Emerging Art Prize aims to discover, platform, and celebrate the next generation of contemporary British artists. Investing in artists at the start of their careers not only supports their creative journey but also offers collectors a unique opportunity to own original works before they achieve broader recognition—while prices are still accessible and the potential for growth is significant.
Emerging art can sometimes feel challenging or unconventional, encouraging us to look beyond familiar forms. Sarah Ryan, New Blood Art Director, has shared her insights over the past 20 years on what makes early-stage talent stand out, guiding collectors in recognizing an artist’s potential from the start. One specific article she wrote, “Six Rules for Spotting Great Art” in Money Week, condenses key markers of promising talent at this stage.
For those looking for a range of styles, our website also offers selections from more representational and conventional contemporary artists.
Today, we’re delighted to share the latest eleven Emerging Art Prize nominees:
