Evolving Conversations in Contemporary Art
This week, we are pleased to introduce a new selection of works at New Blood Art, celebrating the nuanced beauty and complexity of contemporary art. We are delighted to present paintings by Phoebe Hardwick, whose work evokes the enigmatic realism of Michael Borremans, paired with a distinctive ethereal quality. Hardwick’s pieces invite a contemplative gaze, seamlessly blending meticulous detail with evocative narrative depth. Her works, much like Borremans’, possess a haunting beauty, where the familiar becomes mysterious and the mundane transcends into the extraordinary.
Equally compelling are the delicate yet powerful works of Lisa Pettersson. Her pieces, such as “Moment Before II,” capture a sense of paused time, inviting viewers into moments of introspection. The subtle interplay of light and shadow in her work creates an atmosphere of serene contemplation, drawing the viewer into a meditative state.
We are also pleased to welcome new artists to our gallery:
Emilia Creighton. whose layered and poetic application of paint speaks to domestic and feminist narratives;
Sara Christova. whose interdisciplinary practice blends traditional and innovative methods to explore scientific and mythological narratives;
Georgia Boardman. whose exploration of the circle as an elemental form creates a dialogue between the abstract and the tangible.
Thea Schultz. whose paintings reclaim the autonomy of women depicted in ancient and mythological contexts, transforming them from passive muses into empowered subjects.
We invite you to explore these new additions and immerse yourself in the evolving horizons of contemporary art.
