FRAMED: art that is ready to hang
There are many reasons to buy art that is unframed. It can be more affordable, easy to transport and versatile. Plus an unframed work has endless potential to adapt to your taste and space.
Sometimes, however, we just don’t have the time, headspace or vision to frame a piece of art in the way that it deserves. It can also be a challenge to find a framer that understands what you’d like to draw out of the work - especially for those who live outwith large city hubs.
A frame can offer protection to a piece that is fragile. It can also help harmonise it with the room and other pieces of art, creating a unifying space. Sometimes the frame can even be part of the concept of the work itself. Multiple award nominated artist Damaris Athene tells us about her work Latent_Space.001:
“This piece has an aluminium frame that is an important conceptual part of the artwork as well as being a frame” - Damaris Athene
Not all art needs a frame, but we noticed some absolute gems available at New Blood Art where the artist has taken this step.
We thought it would be interesting to pull together a selection of work that arrives framed and ready to hang.
This section features many of the framed artworks available at New Blood Art, including works on paper, plus paintings, collages and more. This section will change as sales are made and artists upload new work, so worth popping back to see what intrigues you.
We can offer informal advice on works that are unframed, or otherwise - just get in touch. We also offer both art advisory and consultancy services, where we undertake bespoke curating projects for family homes, offices, architects, development projects and hotels. See our website for more info.
