The Emerging Art Prize 2024:
Introducing the first of our long-listed artists
Last weekend, we started to introduce the nominees for The 2024 Emerging Art Prize and we’re back to share the next ten artists with you. Each of them hand-picked in collaboration with tutors from art institutions across the UK: from Falmouth to Dundee.
In its second year, the prize aims to discover, platform and celebrate the next generation of contemporary British artists. Investing in artists at the start of their careers not only supports their creative journey but also offers the chance to own original works before they achieve broader recognition—when prices are still accessible and the potential for growth is significant.
We are excited to share the work of 10 more Emerging Art Prize nominees: painter Liberty Thompson, sculptor Alexandra Kim, painter Maisy Timney, sculptor Damaris Athene, painter Abby Prior, multidisciplinary artist Julia Issi, painter Emma Matthews, interdisciplinary artist Sara Christova, ceramic artist Beril Nur Denli and painter Thea Shultz.
