Everything on New Blood Art is original: unique paintings, drawings and sculpture, and fine art prints made by hand by the artist in small signed editions. The one exception is The Print Studio, a separate section of reproductions of original works.

Meet 2 New Artists: Karin Wright and Louise Richards

Meet 2 new photographers:

Karin Wright: Photographer Karin Wright beautifully captures gleaming luminescence through optical ingenuity. Her command of the lens and mastery of digital skill is clearly and strongly felt in each of her works, as trails of light, areas of shadow and indeterminate forms work together in harmonious composition. Her ethereal productions intend to capture scenic durations in a single image, creating a connection between the lived experiences of both artist and onlooker. In this way, Wright conveys how the visual realm extends beyond the physical as the glow of illumination may be used to breathe life into the commonplace.

Louise Richards: With a versatile ability for printmaking, photography and digital manipulation, Louise Richards interpretively reclaims the traditionally feminine role at the heart of demanding household operations. In the new imposed environment of life during the pandemic, she closely examines the micro-properties of culinary tools and the harsh actions involved in their daily use. This distinctive approach to still life enables Richards to explore the stresses and flow of the modern home with the restrictions provided by a distancing with the external domain.
