New affordable art to invest in this week
Two new artists have joined the website this week, including Sophia O’Connor, who creates hand finished limited edition prints capturing people, places, and moments in time and Tomasa Martin whose still lives include beautifully observed vintage newspapers, conceived in a gentle palette with great attention to detail – they are quite lovely.
Outstanding and poignant new work is available by John Clark and there are many more new pieces to view on the website.

Geysir by Sophia O'Connor
Hand finished limited edition Giclee fine art print.
"The original drawing was made in Reykjavik, Iceland, depicting the Geysir."

Audrey and News by Tomasa Martin
Original painting in oil, acrylic and gesso on canvas.

Old Man by John Clark
Original painting in oil on canvas.
"The first in a set of paintings that reflect upon age."

The Outlaw by Tim Smith
Original painting in oil on canvas.
"The outlaw is a curiously popular idea in our history and culture. An individual living outside the boundaries of what the law dictates, but a hero figure at the same time."

English Garden #29 by Carlos San Millan
Original painting in oil on wood.

Floating V by Joanne Hummel-Newell
Original watercolour collage on St Cuthbert Mill Watercolour paper.
"I made this series of watercolour collages after visiting Seaview sailing regatta. I was captivated by the movement of the flags, the wind and the water. I've tried to capture the energy of being on the sea that day."

Fade Away by Johnny Morant
Original painting in oil on canvas.
"A delicate deconstructive approach to one of my familiar themes. The model is braced in a sheltered pose as I begin to disassociate her from her surroundings and dissolve the very surface of the paint, leaving her suspended in a dreamlike state."

A Tale of an Empty House by Sophia O'Connor
Hand finished limited edition Giclee fine art print.
"This piece was originally created in response to a short story 'A Tale of and Empty House' by E. F. Benson."
