The First 2024 Emerging Art Prize Nominees Have Arrived.
We're excited to share the first group of nominated artists for the New Blood Art Emerging Art Prize 2024. Through an innovative tutor-led nomination model, tutors from art schools and universities across the UK have begun putting forward their outstanding 2024 Fine Art graduates. We're delighted to showcase four initial nominees:
Christian Sloan, graduating in 2024 with a BA in Sculpture from Edinburgh College of Art.
Jasmin Barrett, a BA Fine Art graduate from the University of Central Lancashire.
Alice Wheeler, graduating this year with a BA in Photography from Edinburgh College of Art.
Sean Pearl, completing his Print MA degree at the Royal College of Art in 2024.
The New Blood Art Prize embraces diverse perspectives from renowned institutions like the RCA to regional colleges nationwide, presenting an opportunity to invest in outstanding British emerging artists at the start of their careers. This pioneering prize defers to the expertise of art tutors by inviting them to nominate up to three of their standout students, tapping into the wisdom of those closest to fostering this new generation of talent.
