Start-with-the-Art: Interior styling concept
Next time you're decorating a new space why not start with the art? So often the art is the last consideration - dressing the space - which seems to me the wrong way round! A piece of art makes a fantastic interior design 'mood board' - containg the colour palette, textures and shapes to inspire a new interior concept. Artists have honed their eye and aesthetic judgement over many years and their instinctive use of colour and texture makes for an inspiring start point for interior design projects.
Here are a couple of example pieces, with mini mood boards below demonstrating this idea - though any artwork on the website could be used as a similar start point.
