Tia’s original drawings take their starting point from the Tarot, drawing on the symbolism and spirit of individual cards to create intricate compositions that feel both contemporary and timeless.
Historically, Tarot began as a Renaissance card game rather than a mystical system, drawing on recognisable social, moral, religious and cosmic imagery. Its use for divination developed considerably later.
You do not need to have any interest in Tarot to respond to these works. Tia uses its imagery as a visual language for much older and more universal ideas: transformation, love, intuition, courage, uncertainty, completion and our relationship to forces larger than ourselves.
The works are printed onto Canson Arches aquarelle rag paper and mounted onto aluminium Dibond. This combination gives them real clarity and structure while retaining the delicacy and presence of a large-scale coloured drawing.
Each work is available in three sizes, from 15 × 25.3 cm up to an extraordinary 100 × 168.7 cm. They are beautiful individually, and would work exceptionally well as a pair or triptych, or complete series in any space where you want to introduce a sense of focus, inspiration and visual clarity.
We may also be able to produce particular works at a bespoke scale, so please contact us if you have a specific space in mind: info@newbloodart.com
