Art Gallery Paintings By Sam Wood
New Paintings By Sam Wood - Just Arrived
Masters Artist Sam Wood is a painter based in Newcastle who creates raw and impassioned work that is comparable to a thunderstorm: immensely powerful and oddly tranquil.
Nearly all of Sam’s paintings include people - either a figure turning thoughtfully away, or contemplative bodies immersed in art at iconic institutions such as MoMA, The Met or The National Gallery.
The museum and art gallery paintings are often snapped up quickly, so we thought we’d send out a newsletter to let you know there are new paintings available.
“I work mainly in oil paint and realism is my main driving force, but while maintaining this, I feel as though it is very important to create mood and atmosphere through the work. I will layer, scrape and wipe areas of paintings to create areas of abstraction and realism.” - Sam Wood
