Beauty in the blues
Today is Blue Monday and apparently we're feeling a bit blue. Painters throughout the ages have celebrated the colour blue. There’s no doubt that there’s beauty to be found in the blues - today we pay homage to this hue!

"I find inspiration in a number of places including personal history. "Crossings" is a seascape that includes the SS Antonia. It is one of a series of paintings that include merchant ships from the 2nd World War served on by Capt Fall, a great uncle. It is an original mixed media work in gouache, pastel, graphite and ink on structura ground. The work is on Bockingford Watercolour paper (300gm/sq m), white matt surface, acid free. Structura is a paste applied to the surface of the paper to provide some texture as part of the painting process"
