Younger Blue Sister

Younger Blue Sister

76 x 60 cm | 29 x 23 in

Original painting in oil on canvas.

Keith Robinson
Featured in MoneyWeek Magazine. Keith Robinson's paintings lie between Georgia O'Keeffe's romanticised depiction of New York skyscrapers and the De Stijl school of abstract painters. His thin and fluid palette creates a dense and shimmering mirage on canvas, playfully contradicting the very structures he represents. Runner-up in The Scottish Portrait Awards 2021; exhibited at the BP Portrait Award (National Portrait Gallery) and the ING Discerning Eye. His History Revision portraits – painted on used painter's rags – re-evaluate imagery of children scarred by war, removing them from ideological association.

Concerned about buying a piece you haven’t seen in the flesh? ▾

We don’t currently have a gallery space where you can view the work in person, though depending on where you’re based, a studio visit can sometimes be arranged. What we’ve found, overwhelmingly, over twenty-two years: when someone falls for a piece on screen, the real thing is more, not less. Colour, surface, scale, presence. It works that way around. It’s why, across two decades, our returns have been minuscule.

But rest assured: if it isn’t right when it arrives, it can be returned within fourteen days.
