Recent Arrivals: Molly Kent, Christina Symes, Natalie Chapman and more
Some really great work has been arriving at the gallery over the past week or so. There’s the intense perspective and colour of Christina Syme’s ‘Nature Works’, where horizontal and vertical vectors in vivid tones conjure the drama of a coastal landscape. Molly Kent also brings intensity in her textiles, with her characteristic deployment of silhouettes and canny use of materials.

‘Things Take Time’ by Natalie Chapman uses bold brush strokes and frontal perspective typical of the artist’s portraiture, which swings into bracing emotional experiences.
Sara Willett has been doing something different with her shapes, whilst maintaining the same mesmerising focus on cerebral, organic mark making.
In two studies, Thomas Cameron turns again to the city’s quotidian spaces, and in lingering there finds something more than the expected.

Selena Scott’s ‘In the Midst of it All’ exhibits the dynamic poise which makes this young oil painter so exciting.
Mary West’s loose brushstroke cascades the landscape into its reflection, to wonderful effect, in ‘Wolf Moon.’
New work in glass has arrived from Kira Phoenix K’inan, which amalgamates multi-toned pieces of glass into the equilibrium of circles.
Another artist to recently join, Xiaoyu Shi, brings a monumental early spring offering in 'Young Stems'.
