We’re celebrating.
Lorena Levi who has been shortlisted for the Young Contemporaries Exhibition at the Royal Scottish Academy 2023 after being awarded the Astaire prize 2021 from Edinburgh University.
Levi’s impressive caricature paintings explore intimate relationships through a liminal space between reality and our dreams. Thoughtfully tailoring her practice throughout the pandemic by using online forums to find subjects for her portraiture, her work explores the physicality and underlying tension of togetherness and separation.

A selection of Colette LaVette’s work on display in Sir Paul Smith’s Albemarle gallery store.

Using surfaces made of hemp, bamboo and organic cotton canvas, LaVette's works employ a warm, earthly palette of sustainable oil paints which she creates herself using natural minerals including walnut and linseed oils, and earthenware clay.
