In 2024 Jan Valik showed solo in an exhibition entitled ‘Levity’ at Chamber in Vienna, Austria, in the same year he graduated from Royal College of Art in London, during which he was awarded Rose Finn-Kelcey Bursary and The Vice Chancellor’s Achievement Scholarship.Following this, subsequent solo exhibitions at Megafield Gallery in Beijing, and again in Vienna, Austria . His work was also acquired to the important collection of contemporary art Andrea and Manuela Bille from the RCA 2024 Show. This is an artist making serious waves and a great time to invest.Jan Valík creates works that explore the intricate relationship between human perception and the landscape. We don’t currently have a gallery space where you can view the work in person, though depending on where you’re based, a studio visit can sometimes be arranged. What we’ve found, overwhelmingly, over twenty-two years: when someone falls for a piece on screen, the real thing is more, not less. Colour, surface, scale, presence. It works that way around. It’s why, across two decades, our returns have been minuscule.
But rest assured: if it isn’t right when it arrives, it can be returned within fourteen days.
